Just to clear a few things up'..

All meat slaughtered { abbatoir/ slaughterhouse } in this country {UK} is bled to death....
2..
All meat slaughtered in this country MUST, BY LAW be stunned before bleeding.

Has been on the statute books since the 70's [ maybe the 60's ]

No council or law enfocement agency will invoke this regulation...
Why? I have no idea, maybe they will be accused of racism..

The reason Halal and Kosher butchers kill the way they do, is because of a chapter in the "Book" [ take your pick which book] that states>. All beasts must be fit to walk to their slaughter....in olden days and in 3rd world countrie very understandable as an ill or diseased beast could play havoc healthwise..
IMHO this "clause" is no longer needed in countries like ours...
Don't forget that as far back as the middle ages the humane and mostly standardised { Western World} way was "Poleaxing" which although seeming brutal is a lot less traumatic to the beast than the 5 to 7 minutes of conciousness whilst they bleed to death...
I will NEVER knowingly eat Kosher or Halal meat.....even as far >>> going veggie in an indian or Jewish restaurant...
