Body armour suit for MTB and Motorbike?

Is there such a thing? I`m looking at getting a body armour suit so when I`m in France this year I don`t cook under leathers and I can also wear while I`m on my mountain bike. Can I get one that does both or are the motorcycle ones much more heavy duty?

Come out best in the tests - aren't over bulky - I use the Jacket on mountain bike, green laning and skiing - Excellent piece of kit that is less rigid than it's competitors, sits on a Lycra / Coolmax shirt

They are one and the same.
Some manufacturers started out as motorbike armour manufacturers and some started out as mountain bike armour manufacturers, but most now cater for both as their needs are so similar.

Look at the 661 range. Saved my hide many a time.

I reckon Forcefield kit would fit the bill perfectly.

I have a pair of their 'pants'. They are really light weight, comfy - you don't know you are wearing them once on. I have crashed hard in them a few times now with no ill effects

The shock absorption material is a thin, very flexible 'rubber' which when subject to sudden impact stiffens up.

They have just brought out a modular upper body suit which really looks the business and I wouldn't hesitate in buying it had I not just bought a Knox suit a couple of months before launch.

I tried the Forcefield jacket at the NEC before Xmas . Very nice and comfy. I would have definitley chosen that but its not cheap ( the best stuff never is ) and I was on a budget.

There was an offer on at Knox. I got their jacket, armoured pants AND their new coolmax stly longsleeve shirt to wear under the jacket all for about the same as the forefield jckt on its own. I wouldn't want to ride a mountain bike in the Knox though for sure.

I have just sent away for one of these with the idea of removing all my armour from my jackets and just use this underneath


oh and some warm gear at this time of year


anybody else use one of these ???

Cheers lads, thats just what I want. The forcefield stuff looks perfect as I`m not wanting the hard armour and look like an American football player

I`ll have to price up the FF stuff first, I`ll be making sure I`m sitting down first although I should imagine it`ll fetch good price if I decide to sell it on
