Hello to all GSers, very proud to count myself in. I just had to resign myself to the fact that the 1200GS is the best bike in the world despite my efforts to resist 'doing like everybody else'! Anyway, a tidy 2006 with 8,000KM on the clock only found its way to me, and a train ride later it was mine....

Have already done a return trip to Venice with the bird on the back. Ab Fab...

Will have lots of questions as am already stocking up on bits and bobs to add and replace etc. Look forward to corresponding in due course. Obviously anyone who would like advice on roads in and around Suisse Romande and French Alps are very welcome to ask. Yours S

Welcome...

Excellent first post and as you're offering..... I'm looking for campsites around the following places, prefer very small and quiet, water tap and bog are OK or wild camps:

Stelvio area towards Swiss border
Somewhere after the Bernina Pass or along the Albula Pass (do you know what condition the Albula is in?)
Somewhere along the Glaubenbuelen or around Burgdorf

Is wild camping tolerated in Switzerland?

Cheers :beerjug::beerjug:
