After last weekend's ride I'm keen for more, so I'm going to ride up to Wally's Shed, Bull Lane off A134 in Acton near Long Melford, Suffolk. On the below link you can switch to Aerial and Wally's Shed is under the F of Suffolk to the East of the A134. You can zoom in.

This time I'd like to make the starting point the petrol station at Boreham Interchange on the A12 junction with A130. This means that we can meet, fuel up and set off.

It's about 45 miles each way, an hour there and an hour back on nice roads.
I'd look to meet at 09.00am to be away at 09.10 otherwise they might stop serving breakfast before we arrive.
Let me know if you want to come along so I can let them know if it's going to be large numbers.

I am interested in this one too. Unless it is miserable weather I intend to come along. May be on the Strom as Sarah finds it more comfy. :thumb

Both of the links have stopped working properly. For Wally's Shed you can click on the link then type Bull Lane, Long Melford into the search box, it should take you to the junction of Bull Lane and A134.

Wally's

Is that the cafe on the right just before you get onto the industial estate?.Im sure I have stopped there before, bloody good it was too.

If you want some where to go after your brekky there is good endurothon going on at Foxborough quarry about 10 mile from there,Ill be there,it starts at 8am and goes on till 3pm.

Foxborough quarry directions-
Come down to Halstead from Sudbury A131 turn right at the roundabout at top of the high street, stay on that road for 2.5 miles ,it's on the lefthand side.
Look for a little orange castrol flag,if you get to the next T junction you have gone past it.Andy

Cracking:thumb2 might get over to see that after eating. Yes Wally's is the one you've described. :beerjug:

This is still looking good. The weather is forecast sunny with a chance of some showers. I'll be at the back of the petrol station forecourt at Boreham from about 08.50.

Thanks John, it was nice to meet you. We took a little back road through to Sturmer and side stepped Haverhill on our route to Finchingfield. Shame the nice Tea Room was closed, but the ice cream from the cafe went some way to console me:P

Hi Chaps good to see you all today,
Thanks Chris for some nice roads :thumb2
Thanks to Wally for some great tucker :thumb2
And thank feck the rain stayed off until 10 mins after I walked back into my house:JB ...it then came down like a b'stard twinned with serious gusts of wind was happy not to be riding in that lot, hope none of you got caught.

Might see some of you next week re: “anything happening round here” thread
Cheers Jason
