I bought this klx 250 1996 very cheap as a none runner the plan is I wanted something light to go do some lanes with the boy, I've spent four days sorting out problem after problem I've managed to get it running, it runs very well the problem I face is the sprocket has been hammered on to the spleen and the oil is leaking from the seal, I've managed to remove the sprocket and replace the oil seal but its still leaking, I was hoping to just tig weld the spleen at the end to keep the sprocket on then get it mot'ed then use it for a few months to see if its worth stripping the full engine down to replace the spleen, is there a way of doing this on the klx with out a full strip

blimey has your kwack got a spleen?,best off to the doctors i reckon,or has it a splined shaft:augie

Are there any sharp edges on the shaft from removing the sprocket and old seal which could have damaged the new one when you put it on?
