I'm looking for the bar that goes across the front of the engine guards just under the beak that you can attach lights to. I can see on my engine bars the screws that would attach the bar to the engine bars. The bike is a 2010 GSA model.

Just been out and looked at my own bike, I think this is the part you need or an aftermarket substitute. I don't have a spare one.

Yes that's the bit. Looking at the price of a harness I think I may leave it or wait for ebay.
