got my licence yesterday morning and took delivery of a 650 in the afternoon.

after my licence test the examiner told me i might be intested in a fun rally called a pkeor run on today
linda on her suzuki550 and i on the bmw turned up and found 150 other bikes of all sorts from roadser to racers. many harleys a few bms and a lot of roadbikes

did s 250 km tour for the afternoon and found much to my horror that the rear brake had not been bled properly after new brakes wre fitted by the dealer before delivery. had a few close calls during the day hiiting the rear brake and feeling it foat away in thin air. was a steep learning curve to get home in on peice not knowing if the next corner would see another brake failure

now hat to do> can i bleed thebrakes myself or is it a job for a proper mechanic not sure i want to risk riding again till its fixed

as ive only had th bike a day and a half id be pleased to get some adice to get me on the road safely

thanks

Hi David,

Sounds like quite a ride

Firstly I think that you should adress the dealer who didn't do his job properly. He should be made aware of his fault so that his other customers won't have the same experience.

Bleeding the brakes is not a big job. You can find a description on the chain gangs site

Hope you get it sorted out :thumb2
