brake failure and warning light

ive noticed for about a month or so now that when i turn the key in the ignition in the morning the red triangle warning light has been staying on and will rectify itself once i turn it off and then restart again and its always ok on the 2nd atempt

i did try riding a short distance with it on and the brakes work fine but the speedo stays on 0 mph

so i was wondering whether this could be anything to do with the battery not being charged fully to work the abs properly as i received the hand book page recently which refered to this

the bike is a sept 04 on a 54 reg has done nearly 10 k and i have never had to charge the battery even though i ride the bike every day but only 6 miles each way to work and when im on holiday the bike has been left for a couple of weeks without any problem

has anyone else had a similar problem to this

no i tried the phone number that was sent to me but after 5 or 6 rings it went dead and i tried to call them over a period of 2 weeks

i will contact my dealer once they reopen after the holiday just to see if that will fix it

Mine is a sept 04 reg 54 and i had battery completely die on me over night it has since had a new emp or whatever and the last software via dealer and all is fine now.. if i was you talk to dealer better still get in and see them they will soon tell you whats what obviously all on warranty.

i will book it in for the battery and brake check in the new year and i noticed the day before yesterday after i filled it up with petrol that the bars on the gauge only went up half way then after a few mins went to the top to show a full tank then dropped down again and are stuck half way
