I fitted some new brake lines on my 850GS, but did not notice that the line coming from the front brake lever down to the head stock has a sight kink in the pipe collar fitting as it comes from the lever down to the head stock.

I have fitted the king so it points downwards.

My question is, should it point up to create a bend in the pipe or down as is.

Could someone check what they have.

Thanks

Probably not much help, but the standard (original) hose on my 850GS is parallel to the m/c (i.e. no kink). That said, I reckon you've fitted it the right way, judging by the clip that is attached to the throttle cable. Also, I found when fitting s/s hose to my 1100RS that it would only fit one way as the hose doesn't have the same give in it as the standard rubber one, so if you can fit the lower end without difficulty then you've probably fitted the top union the right way.

I guess you need someone who has fitted the same s/s hose as you to give a definitive answer.

Yours is right - if it was the other way up bubbles wouldn't be able to rise all the way to the mastercylinder
