I have a brand new GS. I was riding it down a quiet country lane last night and when I braked it felt as if I had a flat tyre, the steering went very heavy and it seemed to brake heavily to one side.
Carried on a bit further and the same thing happened again. I checked the tyres, all ok, checked the discs (both were equally warm), nothing appears to be wrong, that I can see.

For safety reasons I decided to go home, it felt wrong all the way back ( fortunately this was only a couple of miles).

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem, if so what was the outcome ??

Bank holiday today, so it will be back at the dealer tomorrow !

Now, was it a brake problem ?, or could it have been debris/mud etc on the road.

No, defo no debris on roads. Road surfaces clean and dry when this happened, and it happened in several places on the way home.
It's not right for sure. I've been riding bikes since I was 14 (legal age for getting on the road here) ....... Thats a few years (35) and I've have never felt anything like it before, most disconcerting, and even worrying on a brand new bike !

Sticky brake piston ?
Shouldn't happen on a month old bike in the summer though - still take it to your dealer for a check out.

Ive had a similar sensation on my 2012 my gs , acouple of times whilst riding slowly the steerings gone really dead/stiff I also thought Id got a puncture,I put it down to trailing rear brake on slow speed manouver.
It rides ok at higher speeds.

Did you go to dealer Stupot youve got me thinking as Im away on bike in euroland in a weeks time ?

I'd take it back to have it checked over if just for peace of mind. Taking into account your years of riding I'd think you'd know if/when something didn't feel right.

I'm pro gut reaction. Every time I haven't responded to my own gut reactions I've regretted it. I fully concur with the others - get it checked by your dealer.
