Brakes, grease the dust seals or not?

I'm putting new seals in my calipers on my Yam

I have a fondness for using red rubber grease.......on the bike fool

Question is, should I put a very thin coating inside the dust seal groove?

Or just use brake fluid? The pistons once fitted will be greased.

Probably find that with the grease in place the seal will pop out when the pistons pushed in????

i use a little of the silicone grease that comes in little packets with brembo rebuild kits.


at least it does in the 2 piston kits
