Brand New Full BOS System for 04/05 1200's Going Cheap on Ebay.

I was looking for a full Bos system a few weeks back decieded i couldn't stretch to a new one and would look out for a second hand one. In the meantime though, thought sod it and bought a Remus Titainium Revolution end can instead (preferred the looks to the bos). Obviously if that bargain had of come up at the time i'd of jumped at it!!...........never mind just my look!! Well spotted enjoy!!
If anyone knows where some Remus headers are going cheap let me know.ta

That's good to know. They promised delivery yesterday, and it arrived, so I fitted the headers last night and I will fit the silencer when I get home from work this evening (couldn't fit the silencer on the bike last night:) )
 
Fitting:

Its a little bit fiddly with it all being in separate bits but the end can should be the easiest bit.
I found I never needed the y piece support bracket as it never moves.

Just a quick question how come your swapping the remus headers for the bos?
Did you have the full remus system or just the headers?
Did the remus headers give any performance improvement over standard?

Header swap and Filter:

My guess why he is swapping is because the BOS headers are wider in diameter than the Rumus.

I use a K&N but a BMC is freer breathing so will be fitting one of these on my new GS.
 
Gaskets for header pipes

Well, the BOS system has just been delivered and I've taken time out of my incredibly busy work schedule :nono to take the bits out of the boxes.

I can't find any gaskets for the header pipes in the kit. Are the original ones OK to refit, or should I buy some new ones before I start pulling the bike apart?

Luddfooter,

I had the Remus headers fitted with the standard silencer and I was pleased with the performance improvement below 3000rpm over the standard headers, it making the bike so much more driveable in that rpm range. I have gone for the BOS full system as I had hankered over it a while back but at a price of nearly £600 it was a bit out of my range. The price I got my system for was excellent, a huge saving over rrp and I didn't think I would have any problems selling the Remus headers.:)

Part of the reason and also being able to get the full system for that price made it much easier to justify:D
