Brave 4 Pro

I bought a cheap camera to give it a go. No front screen for centering selfies though.
Attached via a handlebar clamp stalk. Whilst riding, the wind noise blocks all else out.
Do others put camera behind the fairing screen to reduce noise or edit it out at the end.

The cheap camera I bought to try uses a maximum 128Gb memory card so bought a few while on sale.
One YTube vid I saw, the rider group went through 10Tb of video data.
For every YTube Vlogger, there are a 1,000 + who just takes a few videos and lots of digital photos.
One mountain or country lane looks the same as the next. Doesn't matter which country.

Even my £28 one bought discounted in Aldi does good video. But as you say, sound is bad. Wind blast noise even at legal A road speeds and aftermarket mufflers don’t help.
Also without stabilisation, I get the big V-twin jitters.
Myself also could not justify buying a new high end model but damn it, in a moment of weakness coughed up for a used GoPro 12 black.
For next years big EU tour of the sunny countries, I would more likely use it on walkabouts to video architecture than on tarmac.

As I wear a 3/4 open helmet, the chin clamp is no good so it will have to be either on a pole or a strap attachment.
Stuck on top of the helmet looks too nerdy unless you are a vlogger.

Check out the SJ20 dual lens cam for day & night use on Ali Express.

Unless you run an external mic you are never going to get decent engine noise ffrom a chinmount action cam

In my videos I use an external field recorder and then synch that in post prod (well with DJI gear i can do it automatically)

I understand that YouTube degrades the image.

My test for quality is to pause the video to see how clear the roadsigns/number plates are. They were all readable. The number plates of cars coming in the opposite direction were less clear (depending the the layout/design/font). This of course might be the result of the YouTube quality.
Considering the closing speed, altogether I'm impressed.

YouTube will degrade the image if you upload below 1440p above that it uses a better codec that doesnt degrade quality
