Bike would'nt start today - never made a niose as i turned the key and flashed up EMS - BMW assist came out but could'nt so they called the recovery truck to take it to the very helpfull john clarks in dundee

anyway the guy reckons it is the electronic immoboliser thats caused it, anyone else had the same.

When did you use it last was the battery flat? I leave mine on charge when not being used these days as I don't trust it to last much more than a week or 2 without being used. One thing I miss my Yamaha for it would last 4-6 weeks through the hardest part of winter without being used even at 3 years old. First time I used my 4 year old battery charger was December on the GS. Couldn't they give you any more info? Was the guy a mechanic or just a recovery driver guesing at the fault?

Anyway hope it gets sorted tomorrow, let us know what the problem is.

EWS is the German for immobiliser fault. So the recovery chap could be right.
