I too must confess to abusing a brick in the past. An old 1985 K100RT. I did nearly 30k on it (and it was an old hacked, crashed dispatch bike round Bournemouth before I got it) and never changed the oil. It went on and on and on...corrosion on the block like it was used as an anchor.
Changed the spark plugs once...
