But it's about to be updated, PJM's cancelled, but there's a rally in Kielder late July.

I'm aiming to do a premier Championship, which should be Ryedale, Kielder thing, D2D and Welsh Baja. I should have more news up in a couple of days.

Excellent post Phil - I'm hoping to do as many as possible although I am due to be offshore for the Cambrian:tears:tears:tears:tears
I may have to arrange for some Autum flu to be on the go:augie

I'll chacjk the dates for the others.

An old mate of yours (Stew Signol) is looking to buy an HP2 iminantly and will be up for these as well:thumb

Phil, How do-able is the Dawn-to-Dusk?
I cant find any info on what the course is like, length etc.

What about the Tarenig and the Hafren (Both HDBC). The Hafren is usually part of the BBC, I suggested to Andy that he might consider including the Tarenig also. Not sure if it's running this year yet, but I did it last year on the 950, was fun :)
 
D to D..

Orla, I think Wreford had a go at it last year if my memory is right.. I think he wrote a report with pics on here somewhere..

re D to D, it is one event i have never done, but it is long on endurance and a entry field of about 400 all trying to go around together, if you were interested , i would suggest you do one of the Irish Hare and Hounds events and see how you like it and only on your pogo. Log onto the Irish sport site http://www.motorcycling-ireland.com/ and you should get a list of events . for your 1st Hare and hound event it might be a bit much? . there should be some video of the D to D around and give you a impression of the going ..... but it is a long time on a bike ..... Maybe fiona who was on the Nav Run would team with you , when she gets back from her africa Journey

RYEDALE RALLY DATES

This years Rydale Rally will be held on the 5th and 6th of July.
Regs will be available any day now from www.enduronews .com or www.enduro-neec.org.uk
This years event will be similar in distance and format to last years event but this year the Yorkshire Enduro Club have introduced 2 new classes .
one class to allow a limited no of 2 strokes to be run as a separate competition
and one class to be called the Rally class for all bikes over 620cc.
The premier award winner will be the winner of the rally class.
 
Quite fancy ago at a few of these events think I've even aquired the perfect bike a DR750 :eek:Don't want to risk the GSA again I had a few heart in mouth moments on the Cambrian:D
Do all the Rallys cost the same to enter ?

Thats the man Phil - He's not traveling at the moment but always out on the Green Lanes with the TRF guys in the Lakes. He entered the Canmbrian last year on a Suzuki 250 Djerbel and I taook the P1ss so much he is getting an HP2. He did buy himself a rather trick Mercedes Camper van that he got converted to 4x4 at a cost of #44k:eek: He still goes offshore but in semi retirement as he owns a huge camp site at Ryhl. I pass on your regards to him and Helen:thumb

Likkle Dawn to Dusk

Don't know if it will be part of the BBC but www.enduronews.com today have announced a "SON OF DAWN TO DUSK A 6 Hour Hare and Hounds Enduro on Sunday 2nd March"

I think that might have been the weekend that the PJM Rally was on so it might be a good substitute

I'm please I did the Dawn 2 Dusk and entered thinking they'd be a few big bikes because if I'd know how tough it was I'd have stayed away.

Would I do it again, yes
Would I do it on a big bike - If I could ride like Timpo yes but even then I'm talking Airhead special of 650 X not and 11XX or 650 Dakar.

I'm thinking of doing it on my GASGAS trials bike this year - 68Kgs ;-)

If you can get light bike I'd say go for it... determination is required to get you round.

Last year it was 15 mile laps.

Now i was unfit and my skill was 50% of what they developed into by the year end and few events but the first 15 miles took me 2hours 40 mins and the last 2 hours.

The top riders where doing it in 35 -40 mins.

If I get of to a good start this year on the fittness and dirt ridding time I might just do it on the airhead again but that's because I like a challange

As I'm very much NOT a top rider, I'm going to crawl round the Son of Dawn to Dusk on my XR650R if you fancy hooking up with someone who isn't going there for the win !!

Nice preparation for the Red Kite Rally I hope, which might seem a bit easier after a tough start to the year like the son of Dawn to Dusk
