Got me ticket for the whole weekend and a mates coming up for race day.
Anyone fellow GSers going?

Weather up here today is cracking, but not sure it will keep dry for race day, could be interesting indeed. :D

Weekend pass..

Hope you manage to make it out Mark..

New battery in the GS fitted today, started first time, then concked out.. dough! :thedummy .. oopps nocked that pesky throttle cable out of ackle whilst moving the tank, popped back in and whalla.. bikes fires up a treat.

Got my weekend pass for Oulton, so off to watch a bit of practising tomorrow, qualifiers on sunday and the races on monday. Now praying the weather is going to hold out. :thumb

Even better... my missus is working for the double time, I get to go to the Superbikes!

Fun so far..

Well bumped into Earthmover at the entrance on friday, watched a few practise sessions, nattered and enjoyed the rather sunny day..

Went again today to watch the qualifiers and more practises.. bit wet in places, but later on it dried out and was actually quite pleasent.

Now set for the big big.., seems to be a lot more people present than last I went, and a lot more people camping too.

Now hoping for a nice day tomorow.

Ricardo.. see you there.. :D

Rocks, gotta hope tomorrow's weather is a bit better than today (and not just cos I cheated and went in the car with me other half today!). Bit disappointed in how little of the hard standing is marked for bike parking though, after todays rain the grassy bits will be sodden.

Keep a good eye on the two lads on the Appleyard Macadams bikes in the GP125s. Managed to get into their pits today with a contact that I met there. A good pair of young uns (made me feel very old!).

Aiming to be somewhere near Cascades, mainly cos there's an Australian Pie Stall there and I want to know what an Australian Pie is like (cold can of lager in pastry?)

running late..

Well my best mate has had a few bike problem on his way up from south wales, so I am now sitting here waiting for him.. oh well least its dry thus far, grey over cast and not much wind..

As for soft parking, OH YES.. going to be fun.

Hope to see you there shortly..

John

Hope you got there Rocks. Blimey but that was busy! Even by 10.15 there was a three mile queue to get in, and they had stopped letting cars into the main entrance! Parking was a bit dodgy, but I managed to nudge a cone a couple of feet and squeeze onto some hard standing!

Quality racing though. Got chatting to Dougie Macadam in the paddock (Appleyard Macadam Racing). Their 600 rider Ashley Beech couldn't start due to injuries, leading 125GP rider was on pole but broke down on the sighting lap and their second 125GP rider crashed on Lap 4. There were a lot of people working very hard behind the scenes to provide the racing, many of them for little if any pay!

And the Australian Pies were bloody good, but at the price I assume they travelled from Oz on Qantas first class.
