Well, twizzles rule about changes before 6 months.

Ive had my Sport Glide a few months now, and had only changed seat, and added risers to handlebars to get the bike comfy for me.

but today, I broke twizzles rule, and got it stage one tuned.
Im glad I did, as it rides so much better, and fuels right at low rpm, when before, it just didn’t feel right.
I don’t think I want to do any more, as it seems to go well enough now. Maybe just save some cash for better suspension somewhere down the line.

Better suspension changed the bike for me. Oh and our lass now gets on the back after our incident whilst out on it when i first bought it.

You should have gone for a Stage 2 because the torque cam makes a huge difference to the way these M8 motors perform .
Like Doc I also fitted Ohlins shocks to mine which transformed the bike.
Bit crap that a £20k+ bike needs such mods.

Sorry…..a proper tune on a dyno With a proper operator ….. is well within Twizzle’s rules……in fact…it should be compulsory….

Doris

thanks, I didn’t think that was “allowed” under twizzles law…… but I will take it as a “not guilty” verdict.
don’t think I need a stage 2……well not yet.
ohlins rear shock will be my next upgrade I think.

loving the bike, so think it’s a keeper.….. at least for a few years.
I was never a Harley guy, but I can see why People love them. Think I must have matured and am now old enough to appreciated the bike ( im 60, been riding many many years, but never wanted a Harley before)

thanks all.

It’s complicated…..ergonomics are allowed, stage 1 is allowed under sub clause 6 - this being “ do not get drawn into discussions regarding cams and gear driven cam chest kits”

Exhaust systems - are allowed, but V&H short shots need a special licence due to being obnoxiously loud and V&H ”leaf blowers” are banned under the “they look shit” clause 11.2..

under 11.2 you will also find

knock off chinkie LED headlights ( OEM Daymakers are acceptable)
pig / fender ornaments of any type
any live to ride motifs, derby covers, timing cone covers etc
and any seat from the “Zeppelin” range that looks like you have just strapped a mattress to your bike.

consultancy available

Think I'm ok then. Only just

Thanks twizzle

i seem to have escaped the bad bits.
im not a fan of over loud exhausts ( had a victory hammer that was TOO loud)
the stage one has a miller exhaust, which is not really any louder than the original… maybe just a smidge louder.

dont like leaf blowers, and do NOT want any “live to ride, ride to work” shite added.
also, no squeaking chicken decals , or piggie add ones… or any “punisher” or skull additions.
seat is a saddlemen two person seat to keep the wife happy….. along with sissy bar so she doesn’t fall off the back.

loving the bike

You’ve got the Harley beard…and a decent “fuck you” stare.. it’s a start.
not sure the hat is HD tho’

and the shirt needs to be black (or a darker colour than black if you can find it)…. With skulls , or HD logo on

umm but they were on the bike when i got it , does that help me ?

under 11.2 you will also find
knock off chinkie LED headlights ( OEM Daymakers are acceptable) ....................ummm what if they work soo much better than the std headlight ?
HELP ....guidance needed .

I have a lovely hat, does that count?

I like the hat and as you can see I'm a fellow enthusiast but you need aviator shades like these on my screen.
Can't have enough pairs of shades.
But you beat me hands down with the beard, I haven't got one. HD coolness is a work in progress.

(Yeh, I know screens are uncool but I'm going for function over form these days. Not to mention an unevenly loaded bike). :D

You will definitely need a floor mat and key holder. Screenshot_20230822_050324_Samsung Internet.jpgScreenshot_20230821_132959_Facebook.jpg

Bet you have your wallet on a silver chain though?

No chain link wallet…… just an empty wallet after spending on the Harley, and getting robbed at wife-point.

no harley t shirts, or any other Harley badged clothing or other stuff.
apparently HD makes more money per year from selling HD badged stuff than they do selling motorbikes….don5 know if this is true, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

I refuse to go down the route of Harley everything, just coz I’m riding one of their bikes. (As I do have non Harley bikes too)

just found a local non HD bike shop close by that looks like it could be the best place to get my HD serviced once the warranty runs out (soon) …..
