Wheeled my R65GS out of the garage yesterday, last riden about a month ago to find two broken spokes, almost opposite each other on the ftont wheel.
OK not strictly broken spokes but broken nipples. Water running down the spokes over the years rotted the nipples?
The nipple below the broken one looks a bit dodgy as well.
Time for both wheels to be respoked methinks.
I've used and been happy with a local wheel builder 'Sid's Wheels' so will go to him again.
Should I go stainless?
