Any of the experienced offroad guys got any thoughts on choice of brush guards. I know that some folks use aluminium guards but my first thought is what damage they would do to your mits if crushed! I know that they should be fitted loose so as to rotate, but what about head on hit?
Any thoughts o wise ones?

Acerbis. More expensive than most but far better IMHO. Tried to fit a pair of cheap ones on the MT but there was no way I could without snarling cables, Acerbis have a much better fitting system. unfortunately Des Helyer only had yellow ones left and I am not fitting them, so I am waiting for his delivery of Black.

Second that,

Acerbis Guards have saved me from loads `o bad sh1t.

Dont know what they are made off but they are seriously good....

Have had offs, on and off road and they do the business... ;)

just bought a set of acerbis ones for my husky, they look the part... :)

I've always used Barkbusters (alloy) and Maier Plastic Covers

Built like tanks and had them on 5 XR's - they've been down the road, crashed/bashed and abused in Dales on Limestone

Never bent and damaged.............they're amazing
