Right. With help from various people have finally got some pics to post of the marvellous lights sorted and fitted to my bike by the fantastic BigTrailBikeRider. Contact the guy for details but suffice to say he does a real pro job at a very reasonable price and helps you get all the parts for peanuts too. In addition Mrs. BTBR makes a fantastic cup of tea. You'll come out of his spotless garage with a very cool set of lights (after spending a couple of hours wondering how he gets his bike that clean!).

Cheers Alan!

This is the lights in off mode (sorry if some of these pics are a bit blurry - I'm rubbish at photos).

Lights in dipped beam mode - the little lights are actually much brighter than they look, my camera angle was all wrong (with extra bright headlight bulb recommended and fitted by Alan).

The whole lot (amazing at night - instant daytime, planes diverting, small animals and pedestrians frozen to the spot, etc).

The one on the left now gets through traffic easier than the one on the right, even with all the lights and noise going. If anyone wants these highly recommended lights do a search on here and get in touch with Alan.

Cheers Alan.

Thanks for the words of praise Larry.

As for the bike on the right...........drop it up to me and I'll see what I can do. :D

It is good to know that some people do know; and know how the pieces fit in the right position in the jigsaw.
Me, well, I hope to have a go myself and even though it may take weeks instead of hours, It will hopefully be successfull. The proof is when you switch them on and hey presto.

My Hella DE xenon drive lamps arrived today. With the meters of wiring for car use. No problem I think in cutting and scaling them to fit the GS frame length. Also need to fit the 'Autoswitch' under the seat somewhere.

Can anyone tell me where the best instructions are on the web?

Where is the best place to fit the two ballast boxes and relay? I believe that Touratech make a special fitting for them as part of their xenon package. If anyone has a drawing c/w dimensions, I could get one made.

What I don't have is a lightbar but, on the scrounge for a length of Alu flat bar to get one fabricated and drilled. The MigSel one looks good and maybe next time back in the UK, I'll order one.

I suppose if BTBR ever passes by me on a big adventure holiday this year, I will wait and pay him to do mine.:D

Any info please via my e-mail address.
