hi guys,
I'm sure its been done many times but I'm looking to build an aux light bar for my gs1150 on min cash. has anyone info that can help like
what size 'bar' to use and where the bends should be and what size bolts are needed to fit it to the oil cooler ext..
any info would be apreciated, I know I could try work in out myself but cant afford 100 trips to get the stuff needed and messing up when I bend it wrong & it looks crap
cheers
John

building a light bar

i built my own light bar but i always collect old bits of ally when i am wandering around, then i can give these projects a go without it costing any money if it is a disaster. In the case of the light bar it was part of a greenhouse that was thrown away. I have always got my eye on skips and rubbish dumped around the countryside- with a bit of imagination it is all there.
good luck!

I built one from a piece of aluminum stock form the local hardware store. Cost about $9.The spray paint and etch primer cost more than that but they'll be good for future projects too. :thumb2
