Hello all,
I know that these sorts of posts are quite frequent here but I'm a bit lost and I'm hoping to get my head around this so that I can build my own cable for tomorrow. I am hoping to do this with the parts that I have lying about but I'm worried that I am over simplfying what I need to do.
I have a px-777 and I have the kit 300 duo, I also have the in-ear PTT cable that came free with the radio.
Is it possible to just cut the end of the in-ear cable I have and connect it to a 5 din plug that will then plug into aux 5 of the autocom with a push to make switch breaking the microphone connection? It's been 10 years since I had to learn electronics!
I got this pinout for the speaker/microphone:
KENWOOD Type H1
Connecter1 : 3.5mm 3p Phone
Connecter2 : 2.5mm 2p Phone
1 MIC
2 +V
3 GND/PTT
1 SP
2 SP/PTT-GND
And I got this pinout for the aux 5 on the autocom:
Pin Function Color
1 +9 VDC Blue (External Wire)
2 Mic Yellow
3 Ground Black
4 Speaker Orange
5 PTT Brown
Is it really just a case of matching these up or will I need capacitors or resistors in there too?
I have read all of the other posts but when people find out what they need to they tend not to right back with the completed solution to their problems.
Thanks
