Hello Chaps,

I want to load my entire cd collection onto disk for this three year overland truck trip (I've bought the truck now!).
I could just take the CD's in a few of those multi-disk cases, but for security and convenience I would prefer just to copy onto disk. Playback would be via both the cab automotive type cd player and, more importantly, via the household type (quality) player in the back.
Q. For recording at QUALITY levels, am I better with an IPOD type gizmo or am I better off loading on to a HDD or similar - we will have the laptop with us.
Thoughts?
Steve

I'd do both Steve, burn them on your laptop and then transfer to an ipod as well. Most modern head units (the radio in the dash ;)) will have an aux input for plugging an mp3 player into. :thumb

If you are taking your laptop - take an external USB HDD (2.5") to load all the MP3 files onto. Then, you can download to your MP3 Player. If you steer away from Ipod, you won't have to bother with Itunes.
