Recently bought a Roadhawk bullet cam to mount on the bike to record any future possible mishaps and was wondering if anybody had found a place to mount it on the bike in an inconspicuous place.

I had a quick look and no where seems obvious.

Roynie and I are just looking at getting a couple of these, but my understanding is that they were principally designed for helmet mounts.

I like my cam mounted to my helmet and following my line of sight. Though that does necessitate that its battery powered.

I use TelferIzer 6mm metric ram ball fittings on the front and rear of the GS, replacing the factory screws that hold the indicators in place. Very discrete mounting option.
Once you have the RAM balls in place you have a vast number of fitting options for just about anything.

That sounds like a good option. Could you post some pictures please?

David, found your pics on another thread linked to your photobucket stream. TelferIzer, however do not list the small 6mm on their site. Did you custom order it?

I had one on my Multistrada. Just used a RAM mount on the bars - had to buy a 1/2" ball-to-flat-plate adaptor.

Now I have an RT and nowhere to mount it. Have thought about the helmet option but am nervous about the implications for helmet safety. Seems to be a fair degree of evidence that Schumacher's injury was (at least in part) a result of the camera/mount he had on his helmet...

Yes you just call him and order a couple of Ram balls in M6 and give him the length of the threaded section of the bolts you have removed. He will usually have them in the post the following day!

Have my Ghost Drift on the off side of my Shoei. set on a 1 min 'tag' so just a press on the remote saves 3 mins of footage. I min before and 2 min from, the press of the remote. Works fine and have already sent one bit of 'careless driving' to local plod to look at!
Only odd thing is camera is waterproof but remote isn't! Have been in heavy rain 3 times and remote still works though.

The beauty of the Roadhawk Bullet R+ is that you can buy a hard wiring kit and it will loop record.

I have wired mine in via Fuzeblock, bought from this site, so all I have to do is switch on the ignition and the camera will record to a 32gb card continuously then overwrite so it's almost fit and forget.

I would ideally like to position it in a place that is almost hidden so I would only remove it when parked in a public place overnight, which only happens on road trips.

I have a ride bullet cam. It's fitted to the screen brace on my hexhead using a stainless p clip, small bit of plastic horizontally and a 22mm plastic pipe clip. I know it's a different bike but the 22mm clip is the point I'm trying to get across. The camera fits neatly into it by putting the rounded end in and pulling it back. Easy on and off.

On the front and rear of my 15 GS I have 2 x Innovv C3 HD bullet cams wired to 2 very small DVR under my seat that accept 32 GB micro SD. They come with either 90 or 120 deg lenses. The DVR also has a mic in it.

I bought a $10 12V to USB adaptor cable so the cams start recording with ignition on.

Cost about US$130 each and come with heaps of mounting options. Running for 6 weeks now, recording in loop. Every time I check them they have recorded exactly as they should. Perfect HD video. Order direct from Innovv website.
