Hi,
A couple of friends and I rode up to The Adventure Bike Shop yesterday, to collect my new Bumot panniers.
My new bike didn't come with boxes, so I took the opportunity to look at the various alternatives to the std BMW kit. They fit very securely to the std GSA racks and so no additional fitting kit is required. The boxes come in Silver, Gunmetal or Black which I chose.
Although I did have a slight concern when I couldn't get the left hand box to fit, but it turned out that it was just because my Touratech toolbox had been fitted a little bit too low; when it was transferred from my old bike. Five minutes and the toolbox was raised slightly and the boxes fitted and ready for the off. The finish on them is excellent and the seals around the top look as though they will be fantastic when the weather is bad. I haven't decided whether I will be going for a top box yet. Will see how I go, but prefer the look of the bike without one.
A great ride back in the sunshine, and the added bonus of a low level pass by a B52 and a P51 Mustang as we were riding past Duxford!!!
Thanks to Cliff and the team at The Adventure Bike Shop for your excellent service!!
Scott.
