I’m in the market for a toolbox that mounts in the dead space on LHS of my 14 GSA LC. Some are piss take expensive but the Bumot from Adv shop looks ok and at a more reasonable price. Has anyone got one or have any reviews? The Givi plastic one also looks inexpensive but being Italian will probably fall apart after a few miles.

I don't have the toolbox bit I have had and still have Givi luggage and they haven't fallen apart by any stretch, I would vouch for their quality and endurance.

I have one. It’s well made, uses a lock that is the same key as the top box and panniers and stayed dry to date. I use mine to hold my chain, locks and disc lock.

Will the Bumot toolbox fit the GSA frames ?
I know Bumot designed their panniers to bolt straight on to the GSA frames but do the GSA frames have the same attachments as the Bumot frames to allow toolbox fitment as shown here ?

I’ve had a Bumot tool box on a few bikes in last 3 years and they work brilliantly.

The Bumot box made for the Bumot rack looks good, roomy and wide. Their Bumot box for the BMW oem rack appears to be smaller.

Personally I went for the box from https://www.rs-motorcyclesolutions.de/en/tool-box-for-bmw-r1200-gs-adventure-lc-2014-with-bmw-lock-cylinder.html, with the BMW key option. This makes it possible to rekey the lock to the bikes key.

The boxes for the BMW seems to be rather 'moderate sized'. If they make them any wider they will be in conflict with the rear spray guard.

Yes, I have the Bumot. Excellent functionality. Only gripe is the key is a bit fiddly.
