Bought a GSA recently with Bumot aluminium top box and panniers. Took off top box from it rack/plate. Now I can’t get the mushrooms to engage into the key hole slot brackets. The Adventure Bike shop suggested a hard thump with the palm of your hand. No luck so far. Now starting to damage one of the mushrooms. Any tips would be welcome. Thanks

Is the key barrel in the unlocked position....
Or do you have too place the box on the mushrooms and then turn the key into a unlocking position too relase a spring in the barrel for the mushrooms too push over....

Thanks for your response. After a lot of frustration finally go it to fit. I will not be taking it off again in a hurry!
A bit of silicone spray on the mushrooms helps
