Hi guys just thought i'd warn you that mobile speeding traps are being used in the Storey Arms area on the A470. Got a nice letter through the post yesterday! 80 in a 60 on the really long straight stretch on the Merthyr side.. I know i did wrong but road was empty and good visibility all round. Oh well let's hope it isn't a bad one as i drive for a living!!!!!

Good Visibility !! but you didn't see the van:blast

Edit
Andy that ticket will be dealt with in Cardiff, well worth ignoring the first notice, Good luck

my 83 in a 60 cost me 210 quid and 5 points. (unmarked car got me)

I've learnt my lesson, oh yes. :augie

They did me there, asked for the photo. When it came there were two cars in the photo, I pointed this out saying one of them could have triggered the camera, the cross hairs were on my scree not a flat screen and queried whether their radar gun had been calibrated for m/cycles. They cancelled the NIP :D

At least ewe will be ok in Germany, France and Austria next month not to many sneaky blokes hiding in bushes out there, I hope.
Allan. (will have to get together for a beer, free Saturday morning for a quickie to the Llyn Brianne Reservoir and a cuppa in Llandovery)

TOP TIP.
I never speed :rob along that bit of the road now,(Too many rice burners, head down arese up, use it) instead I take the 4059 and then cut back to 470 vai the Llwyn-on Reservoir (towards Cmw Caldin or somethink likethat) lovely bit of C road and the corners are loose and gravely:thumb2

I was on the 470 yesterday and then cut off left following the "snow run" garmin route posted here a while back.

Cracking C roads heading towards Sennybridge. A couple of tight hairpins which had the car in front worried. All perfect GSA terrain and not a camera in sight.

All in sunny sunshine (ah yes, I remember) - lovely. Thanks for whoever posted that route.

Simon

Only downside was being asked to reverse uphill by a car on a single track - errr that'll be a NO then!!!
