3 weeks ago the i was getting 48 mpg according to the bike pooter 'HEY PRESTO' 40 mpg now. p.s. no change in the wrist action

Dont take a blind bit of notice of it acording to mine i'm doing 18 mpg

Try resetting the value. When the fuel consumption is displayed press and hold the "info" button until the value changes to all dashes. It will then recalculate your new curent mpg as you ride. If you don't reset it from time to time the value just gets worse. Same process works for average speed as well.

Have you checked the actual consumption? Mine used to get a lot worse when the tyre pressures were down (albeit on an 1150).

Has 6th gear disappeared?

Thanks for the info but i found an alternative i disconnected the battery by mistake , the computer aint so smart without a power supply
