Ask if it has the original, unmodified gearbox. They can be a problem (third gear slipping) at that age and mileage.

Hi Gypsy,

That is one lovely looking piece of kit there mate and I am definitely interested.. Gonna put my old hog on bike trader, if I get the result I want you can expect a call, thats if you still have it.

Should have funds in 10-14 days (i hope).

*Anyone wanna buy a xvs1100 dragstar with free chrome stuff and an old leather waistcoat?, go on then I'll chuck in the missus*

(The prodigal son has returned, I so need a big dirtmover again, hogging is strictly for the erm, hogs)

Yup totally agree, the m95 box was recalled by BMW years ago to fix the 3rd gear problem, but some have slipped through
...Ive just recently changed my old worn 95 box for a m99 box n its sweet:D

so a good test ride is recommended , unlike the nob who sold me mine .
He wasn't too happy for me to take it for a good run , as a novice at the time i didnt know the problem existed..i was told its a common surge fault:blast

so watch out for underhanded sellers who live with there mums :tosser:dabone...

these guys on here will steer ye in the right direction:thumb
