Guess we all have opinions about using local dealers etc but fact is the majority of us are likely to buy our kit online. Went to a Motorcycle Road Safety Roadshow in the week and a Shoei representative was there giving a talk on helmet care, checks etc. Decided to give my liners a wash yesterday and to my horror noticed the EPS damage after 18 months of use. Clearly someone has stuck their fingers into the liner and damaged it - sweat etc has then ingressed into the liner creating additional cracking. The company concerned have taken it back and are reviewing who had this out previously (all individual helmets are numbered/monitored - news to me!) Indication is they'll send me a replacement, but warning if ever there was to give the whole helmet a thorough check over on receipt - even dismantling it!
