I recently fitted a Wunderlich throttle lock in anticipation for next months trip and immediately noticed that the bar end weights were lighter than the standard BMW ones. Once fitted and tried there is a noticeable increase in handlebar buzz. I have searched the internet and found this to be recorded by others and some "fill" their hollow bars to increase mass and tune out the vibration. I'm not keen on this and my question is - does adding a handlebar cross brace help at all in reducing the buzz or am I destined to remove the throttle lock for more comfortable hands?

I have a throttle lock with the larger notches (Kako?). I hardly ever use it even on long runs. Vibration is the same left or right.
Possibly worse on left. For me the large sweep angle on the bars is a much bigger issue - causes painful thumb joints on long runs.
The cross bar helps reduce vibes but not a big difference.
Make sure throttles are balanced but unless the engine is miles out again no big difference.
You could try some mass dampers from Fasstco. These fit inside the bar ends and cancel the vibration.

Change the bars for alloy ones it can be done fairly easily I couldn't stand the OEM bend (my GS gone to breaker now :( )use the advanced search here a few others done it too :)

Same symptoms on my bike with a throttle lock. You are not alone.

I have no problem with OEM bar bend angle for day to day use. But on a long run they become VERY unpleasant to use. My thumbs still hurt three days after my 450 miles day.
I would like some Fasst flex bars with a standard enduro angle but they are seriously costly
