Big favour from any locals near BVM.
they have a 1998 (S) BMW R1100 GS 75th Anniversary bike in. as i live quite a few miles away i would be extremely greatful if any of you kind gent's or ladies could have a look around it for me.
to see what condition it's in and any extras

I saw a red 1100GS there this morning but didn't take too much notice of condition, all I can remember is that it was£4k plus if that's the same one.

One thing I would say is that Mark, Tim & John are top blokes and that BVM in general is a great little dealership that takes care of its customers.

I had my bike serviced there this week with a free loan bike and reasonable waiting time for a booking.

Try asking them to take a few digital photo's for you and send them up to you by e-mail.

Alternatively try Cardiff on this board who may still have a very low mileage 1100GS for sale.

andy - did see the bike there last weekend but didn't look to closely as it was the launch day for the new K1200S.

If you can wait will be that way again on the 11th when mines in for service.

Fantastic customer service their, extremely friendly and amenable.. what more can you say.

ANDY IF I REMEBER CORRECTLY THIS BIKE WAS OWENED BY A CHAP CALLED ANTHONY WHO PURCHASED A NEW R1200GS HE USED IT DAILY AND WAS WELL LOOKED AFTER I BELIVE IT HAS CRASH BARS ON AND APPROX 33.000 MILES HOPE THIS HELPS

I have a lovely red 1998 S reg 1100. with panniers, ABS, heated grips, taxed and mot'd.

need the garage space and was asking 4750ono willing to haggle a lot on this price as i'd like it shifted now, i love the 1200 so dont see myself riding it again.

the trouble is i need to shift me (xr 250 ) first.

i emailed them to see if they delivered and poss px
they said it would be no probs. providing px price was ok. seing as i would be buying it blind if you like a good look around it bye a gsr if any are passing would be highly appreciated.
i haven't actually spoken to them yet but doing a search seem's to bring up nothing but praise for them.
most dealers will say it's immaculate / exellent / clean / condition on the phone then when you have a look it's a dog.
so as i said if anyone's passing (please don't go out of your way)
and can have a good look at it for me.
it would be a grate help.
