I notice that hidden amongst the M8 excitement is the fact that the Vrod is being dropped...... Also the Dyna Switchback and the various Lo models...

I reckon in years to come the V Rod will become a classic....

A friend who works for Harley has been over for a few days. The single cam 8 valve is going to be the only big capacity engine across the range so all models will have to be changed to take the same sized engine. The engines very Japanese apparently, goes like billyo and has two balance shafts to smooth out the vibes.

Oh yes!

India will be making the new big bore bikes for the non American markets. So time to put the Springsteen albums away and break out the bangara

I like it LOL. Maybe a mistake but BMW and others are doing it as well.

Of course the rumor is 2017 is a transition with the new M8 in the old frames. The following year there's an all new frame that will be shared by Tourers, Dyna's, and maybe Softails. I'd just like to see an all new Sportster.

My prediction is that the 2017 year M8 models will become classics with a subtle mixture of old (frame) and new (engine). Therefore mine will be highly sort after in years to come.

I now feel as smug as jackass does with his old shovel.

I'm talking about the original all silver/solid wheels VRSCA....like the one that I bought new in 2002......and sold six months later.....

I thought that the V-Rods went steadily down hill from then on and lost the 'Wow Factor' of the original.
