Hi

Has anyone got a hyper X. I have seen them and think they would make a good touring / general helmet. Is there any negative thought on them?>

Regards

Graham

Love my Hyper X, for me best helmet I have ever worn.

Bit noisy but not excessive, other than that :thumb2

Never had it fog up, even on a day that saw my wife throwing her pinlock across a carpark in Scotland :)

Air flow is really good, visor down or slightly flipped no nasty drafts in eyes.

Sun visor easy to operate, no trouble finding it unlike my Givi.

Sun visor not too dark so doesn't need full on sun to use.

Sun visor can be positioned at any point so can be used to filter a low sun while still seeing road.

Visibility is amazing coming from a flip front.

:thumb2 ...... agree with all previous comments, plus visor has plenty of adjustment if you need to raise it and vision to the left and right is great.
I have used it in very heavy rain and so far no steamed vision.
Very pleased with all aspects.
Cheers

Just toured the pyrenees with one and it was fantastic. Amazing visibility and I found it to be as quiet as my System 6. I got mine from Infinity motorcycles of York and they even fitted and autocom headset in for me.

I have now purchased one from Boston and first impressions are good. The first thing you notice is the field of vision increases making riding safer. Safety checks over you shoulder reveal more than my last helmet. wind noise is ok as is the venterlation. Evern with a cold morning the visor did not fig up, though my glasses did.

l would say a good helmet for the commute as well as touring.

Just to update an old thread. The seal for the visor lowers into a V shape and collects water which eventually runs down the inside when raining hard. Seriously restricts my vison so I wont be replacing it with the same. Shame really because it is a fantastic helmet otherwise.

Had this occasionally over the last 18 months, which when you consider I ride about 30,000 miles a year in all weathers, makes it pretty insigificant.

Fairly sure that in the monsoons we've had recently that most helmet seals would have leaked somewhere.

I'd get another happily :thumb2
