Quite like the look of this Helmet. Dual Sport, Flip front, Pin-lock visor system, internal sun visor, decent price. Just wondering if anyone has tried one and if so what they think of it?

It would appear to be a progression of the duke, make sure you like adventure style helmets as the peak does catch the air and pull neck muscles.
Think Caberg are good value though....

Had a good look at one today - basically it appears to be a Duke with a peak. Solidly made, nice finish (this one was matt black with some fetching red/white graphics) - as above, I quite like Caberg as a good mid-range lid - had a Sintesi II for a couple of years. The Tourmax also has the added advantage of optional integrated bluetooth if you want it.

Good all round helmet

I have now used the new Caberg TourMax helmet a few times, in various weathers, from a cold 4C raining and misty on top of the mountains, to a nice 25c and bright sunshine, all in the Haute Pyrénées mountains, I have covered well over 1000km with it.
With the PinLock system fitted I found the helmet to be very comfortable, quiet and great visibility.
I wear glasses, and steaming up is a BIG problem, both the glasses and inside the visor, but with PinLock fitted the new TourMax was no problem at all, even going from 12c to 4c with rain, perfect visibility all the time. Good ventilation and the PinLock system works well. Just keep the visor fully closed whilst riding.
The Sun Visor is also good, on sunny days. I don't like wearing sunglasses, due to many unlit dark tunnels in the mountains. The peak is good, and seems to have no problem at high speeds.
All round it's a good helmet.

I bought a duke a few weeks ago from http://www.fc-moto.de/. I am happy with the helmet, the main complaint people had with this helmet is noise, I always ware ear plugs so that doesnt bother me. I normally bought arai but funds were a bit tight so I got the duke for 150 delivered which is a fantastic for this helmet.

Looks interesting :thumb2

I posted about the Tourmax in the other thread here.
I've had mine a while now and have just used it on a 1800 mile trip around Ireland, wearing it for some very long days over a week.

I would say its better than the Hornet it replaces and a complete bargain at £189 delivered.

Forgot to mention
Just thought I would let you know that I was very pleased with the excellent service from Motorcycle Hut and the Caberg TourMax Helmet.

Caberg Tourmax Helmet - Anyone tried one of these

Hi All,

I have just binned my Shoei Neotec lid as it was letting more water in than keeping out.. while I liked this lid for its quietness I couldnt live with the fogging and amount of water coming in..

Anyway thats another thread!!

I have just replaced it with a Caberg Tourmax, here is my opinion after using it for my 1.5hr commute up the A42 to brum.

Vision, as good as the rest
Noise, a bit more noisier than the Shoei, but then again you have a 250££ difference there so wouldnt expect it to be quieter!

Most importantly, only a 'little' bit of water now and then on the visor inside, but that is down to the how torrential it is and the fact that the chin vent is open at all times..

It is pinlocked and came with an inner to fit, this duly fitted and working without issue, although I wish they did antifogging glasses too as most of the time its my glasses the fog up not the visor!!

That said I do find that sat behind the big GSA screen restricts some of the airflow to the chin vent as when I raise my head just above the screen the visor is cleared (well my glasses) within seconds, so proving that t the venting works :-)

I do find it a bit noisier as said earlier, I do where ear plugs, and in the past hadnt a problem listening to the other half on the autocom, but turning the volume up a bit has resolved that anyway.

Overall I am very happy with the lid, prior to the crap Shoei I had Nolan N103 that I loved, but just cant find a supplier in the UK to get myself a new N104 measured up..

Anyway, thats my 2pence worth..

Bigkid...

Waiting for the new GSA to be built!!
