or any other autocom wizard. Rich can you help with a problem I am having with my active 7 smart setup? I am using a 3G Iphone with a bluetooth dongle and it all works fine except when I initiate a call. When I end the call the bluetooth connection drops out meaning I have to turn the ignition off then on again to kick it back in. It works fine if someone rings me, the ipod cuts out phone answers / ends call and the music restrarts.

Why not contact the guys at Autocom? Their customers service is really excellent!

thanks

I've done that but I think Rich works for them & wondered if any 'tossers' had similar problems, so was covering both bases so to speak.

iPhone music

" ipod cuts out phone answers / ends call and the music restrarts"

Hops - If you're not playing music before the call comes in does it automaticaly start music when you end the call? That's what mine is doing if I use BT. If I hard wire the iPhone it seems to work just fine.

Can't say I've noticed that.

Unusual for Rich not to pick up on a call. Is he on holiday?

I did email the support address but have not received an answer yet Rich, no doubt they were waiting for you to come back! I know its not the phone 'cos I have had it replaced for a separate issue and the same 'fault' remains.

I have exactly the same problem with an HTC Windows Mobile PDA phone. Will be really interesting to know if there is a solution.

I have tried to restart bluetooth on my PDA but when it reconnects it still doesn't play the music. On my Bluetooth services it shows Wireless Stereo and Hands Free, both of which are selected. I get the impression that after a call the dongle stays connected on the Hands Free service in a standby mode i.e. it will reconnect if you make or receive a call.:confused:

Because it is not actively connected the music, through Wireless Stereo, cannot be heard.

The only way I have so far found is to cycle the ignition which is not ideal and doesn't always work. I was thinking of rigging up a switch to alow me to restart the dongle but if there is a way round it that would be great.

Regards

Peter

Hi Hops,

All of our emails have been replied to from what I can see and its not something that would of been left for me to reply to as there are other people who would of been able to get you sorted. So my apologies on the lack of reply.

So just to be clear is your phone the 3G not the 3Gs? As we have got a couple of normal 3G's here that work fine via our dongles fine and they are a common phone with us.

Peter, HTC's can be a tricky phone to connect. Our BT Engineer use to run one and spent many a day or week trying to get his phone connected with trying different software codes on the phone and our dongles for him to eventually give up.

Anyway thanks again. :thumb2

Hi Rich, it is a standard 3G. I don't remember having this problem before but it happens now. As I say the phone has been replaced for an unrelated matter and the symptom was apparent with both phones so I'm fairly sure it's the autocom/dongle side. It's not a massive problem as an ignition restart cures it but it is annoying so any help will be gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi Hops,

All I can recommend is for you to either return your dongle bakc to us here so we can test it with our iPhones to see what we find or if you liek you could take a ride over to us via an appointment and we can check your system over in the flesh again to see what we find.
