cam timing

has anyone ever degree,d in their cam timing on their 1150?if so wat settings did you try, was it for max power or a more even power flow,
apologys to the 99.9%of you reading this that will think im talkin martian!:blast

I have looked into this and not sure it is worth the effort.

Reason - to do it correctly both the inlet and exhaust need to be set correctly. As there is only one camshaft per side then whatever setting you give to the inlet the exhaust will be set predetermined and you have no means of changing it except by valve clearance. (this however should be set first).

If the inlet and exhaust lobes on the camshaft are perfectly ground then it may be possible.

Adjustable cam wheels are available and I do have the info supplied from BMW as to the correct setting for the inlet opening/closing etc for the standard camshafts.

The above is for a '07 1200 GSA not the 1150.

:thumb2cheers, it was an idea, as most rice burners benefit from this, i usually just file the sprockets to slot them,rice rockets are usually dohc so i can see ur point:thumb2
