So i have been looking at this campaign chair ,from 1890 to 1920 ish which was the inspiration for some major chair designers including Le Corbusier, and thinking it could be a British contender for the excellent Kermit chair(that i`m bu**ered if i can beat the design of).
Then decided to knock up a first trial.....it packs to about 6"x4"x24" aprox and weighs aprox 6lbs although in ash will weigh more, hoping to be able to make them for between £80-£100.During my research i found landrover do a copy of the original for scary prices but cant find the link at present. Some of the originals have belts to hold them together but my old one has a double interlocking taper into the legs that means as you sit on it it all tightens up.The only teething problems are that is a little confusing to put up first time, takes me less than a minute, and some times it needs knocking apart.I would appreciate any feedback and also anyone nearby with a Kermit to compare comfort levels. This original one of mine is really comfy and i often use it instead of the sofa.Cheers,Jasp.
PS...just seen my speaker wire:blast

Always interested in a Decent, comfortable, collapsible, British made Camping Chair. No one seems to make a small one,for adults (with the fuller figure) in the UK.
