My brother uses an iPad Air, he foolishly selected an email, which he believed had come from a known source, which contained a Zip file. Anyway he tapped the Zip file to open it, but nothing appeared to happen. However I looked at the email and it was addressed to many reciepeants, which I was suspicious of. I told him to contact the sender by phone, to confirm whether they had sent it, they confirmed that they Hadn't sent it.

Question is, should he be worried about possible problems, like pass word loss, identity fraud etc. He has deleted the email, cleared the cookies and website data from Safari and restarted the iPad with the off button and home button press until the Apple logo shows.

Anybody have any advice, would be very welcome. :thumb2

There are viruses out there directed at Apple, but I've had a Mac for 6 years and i don't run any virus software at all, I've had no issues, obviously you will have to check to be sure, but the chances are its directed at Windows / PC users because they are an easy target, its harder to penetrate the programs on IOS because unlike PC / Windows the are not all linked.
