Can anyone tell me what this electrical connection is for?

I have found this on my 2010, F800 GS, located below and to the R/H side of the R/H light behind the fairing, directly in front of the R/H fork leg. It is appears to be a plug connected to a dummy holder. I heard that BMW left provision in the cable loom for interfacing OA Spots. I am intending to install Wunderlich spotlights so could I utilize this I wonder?

If not, how have others interfaced these?

Thanks for any assistance.

Not a problem, I installed some wunderlich spot lights and they came with great instructions.

I downloaded installation instructions for these earlier, and yep, the instructions look fairly comprehensive and straightforward. After reading several posts regarding interfacing additional equipment on CANbus circuits I started to worry it my be a more complicated job than I thought. But by the looks of it, it's minimal disruption to the original wiring and everything required is in the box.

If I remember rightly the hardest part is when you splice into the running light power feed so the lights switch off with the ignition. If I can do it, anyone can!
