can I upload routes from my mapsource software into a device using city navigator NT

I have a Garmnin 2610 and tend to plan my routes on the PC using mapsource then up load them to the sat nav.
My Daughter is buying her 1st sat nav and is considering a garmin nuvi 200 - this is pre loaded with city navigator NT v9. My question is can I upload waypoints and routes from mapsource to this device or do all routes have to be planned and programmed within the sat nav. My friendly Halfords tried their best but couldn't confirm one way or the other.

IIRC, the nüvi 200, like the other low - end nüvis doesn't support creating routes in Mapsource and uploading to the unit. It's only once you get to the 700 series nüvis that they do this.
