I bought one about 8 odd years ago when I was in Scania

I used it in some horrendous conditions out on breakdowns

I still have it and use it frequently

My Advice get the best you can afford and look after it !:aidan

+1 for Portasol :thumb2

I bought the 'Technic' model over 20 years ago and it's still working fine on the original catalyst and, all be it rather worn, tip! Excellent bit of kit, well worth the fairly modest outlay. :thumb2 :thumb2

I've got the snap on one it's very good or buy a cheap on and throw it away once it's knackered....

how many times are you gonna use it is it professional usage of keen amateur?

I've got the second one in your links, the kit that comes with a hot air blower, hot knife and blowtorch. It's been used and abused for years and is very reliable. I'd buy another if this one broke.

There's no power in my garage so it was invaluable when soldering in wires for the new indicators.

Aldis when they have them........ excellent kit and if they knacker in first 3 years and you can find your receipt, get your money back ( on year 4 on mine now)
