Can you see the battery from the side of your oil/air cooled GS?

The 2008 GS I just bought has a recently replaced (bright yellow) battery, which I can see from the side. Should there be a black plastic battery 'cage' of some sort, thus camouflaging it from view? I ironically removed the after market side panels as I didn't like the look of them but.......!

Yes, but celebrate the battery was replaced with a decent quality Motobatt!

If yellow upsets the visual ballance you could use coloured tape over the visible area or maybe try approaching the bike from a different angle.

Thanks guys. Feeling good about a new (possibly high output) battery, but will indeed try some black tape or something to camouflage it. Hopefully that won't cause it to overheat or something!

True Especially as I have removed the after market side panels.

I am surprised that Wunderlich hasn’t made a shroud or cover piece (out of plastic) and charge £54 for it!!
