I have to be honest and I have had 'issues' with Cannons in the past...

...but I'm thinking of trading in so gave them a call...

...the initial offer was well under what I'd been offered..but they then increased it to match the ones I already had.

Not exactly 'well over book price'....but at least they're willing to be competitive, to get the business.

I'm not actually sure what the 'book' price is, but for my 06 GSA with all the extras, including the panniers, I've been offered £8,000 by two dealers...although one was £7,500 + a £500 discount.

Cannons initial offer was £6,700....but later rang back and matched the £8,000.

I'll be honest, I think £8,000 is a good price(? ), which Cannons did also say...but when I've already been offered that, then that is my 'current value' of my bike. In fairness to Cannons they have matched it.

So if they are paying me 'over the book price' I'm not sure?, but I think their initial offer wasn't. But also this was also done over the phone, and they've not actually seen the bike, and don't actually know that it is as immaculate as I say it is.

If they were to throw in free panniers it might twist my arm .......if you're listening Matthew?

Which book? If you are going to post this sort of stuff you should be easily beating the prices offered by other dealers. The evidence would suggest otherwise?
