A long way from where I started!
Having been there twice and having had a really " couldnt care less" attitude from the same member of staff twice. I shall not be spending my money there in future and will gladly make the 60 mile journey to Vines in Guildford where my bike was originally supplied. I've never been to Vines but have called them twice, and Darren in the service dept has been absolutley great, very helpful and attentive.

I've spent over £1150 on my bike to get it on the road, plus another 6 or 7 hundred on extras. It'll also soon be due its 6000 mile service. Cannons could well have had a good chunk of that as they are just round the corner to me, but why should I when the guy that represented them did such a poor job of customer relations.

I'm not saying that they are crap on the whole, I've not interacted with any of the other staff so can't comment, but when they put on their website "come on down, have a coffee and a chat about anything bikes", you kind of expect a friendly reception and an interest in the customer. The reality is somewhat different, perhaps if I walked in and said "I'd like to spend 10 grand on a bike please" things wouldve been different. Sadly, I will not be doing that at Cannons.

I went there last week and probibly spoke to the same guy. I asked about 12k and 2nd annual service over the phone and when I was there it had jumped up in price £120. But he also slagged off my bike saying I should get rid of my H&B bars because, and i quote " they are crap, will do more damage to the bike if you drop it " and a few other comments which I found to be a bit rich. I too won't be giving them any of my beer tokens either.

He actually argued with me saying that there wasnt an aftermarket remote for the Garmin 2610 available. But had a shelf full of touratech accessories. Product knowledge? I think not.
Well, As I say, I've not been to Vines, but the guy I've spoken to there, more like 4 times actually, was more than accommodating, and was very helpful.

Darren his name is.

I've only had dealings via email, or tried to. I emailed on three occasions about the same subject but never had a reply. Very poor and of course I'll have no further dealings with them now.

Stumpi,

Why not cut your journey slightly and pop in to South London Motorcycles at Caterham? They're about 5 mins from junction 6 M25.

I recently bought my first GS from there and I've "bigged them up" since. The service manager is Mike Wright, very helpful as are all the staff I've had contact with.

There phone number is 01883 349433.

I'm nothing to do with their company just a very satisfied customer.
