called into there today because i was passing through,

oh dear!!

no wonder it gets bad press, i nearly had to force a 'hello' out one of the sales guys

2 customers were sat on the floor waiting (in bike gear a may add)

and the shops a bit sparse!

oh well, it would never do in Yorkshire

No one said "Hello" because you weren't wearing a "Cannons" t-shirt...

:augie :D

I hope you didn't tell them you were a member of this site - Cannon's don't think people on this site 'have a life' and have allegedly threatened a member who made critical posts about them here with legal action.

They also created fake 'customers' acounts here to post nice things about themselves.

I have my servicing done in the SE, but wouldn't go near them with a bargepole.

I had a similar experience last Saturday. I have bought a new bike from them in the past, and I have the T shirt, but I just called in to check out the latest bikes.

No hello from any staff (just other customers) and no help in finding out how to pay for the coffee. I shuffled about looking at bikes on my own, then left.

There are friendlier places to spend my time and money.

Coffee at South London Motorrad is free:clap:thumb2:D:D

Coffee at Coopers TW is free as well.

Picked up my new bike from Cannons a week or so ago and I have to say that the salesman, Adam was by far the best to deal with of any dealer I spoke to - infact I made three phone calls asking for a salesman to ring me back from everyone's favourite dealer in Dorset - and I still haven't heard from them to this day.

It is due back to Cannons for 1st service at the start of May - rest assured I will post, whether the experience is good or bad.

So far though they have been spot-on:nenau

You get the best coffee at Ocean in Plymouth. The have a proper bean grinding machine, coffee fantastic. They also smile.

got cake and fresh coffee at astle in grimsby

i really wish i could buy something from them, but i cant, everytime you want to buy something you have to see their other departments, and they are not the best. service is good though.:thumb2

oh yeah cannons

erm, not for me, saw a couple of bargains, but no one to help me put me off, they also have the bike i want, hp2 in bumw racing colours, but again,

no speekey no salesey

why oh why do bmw allow this, do they know????

but what got me most was they had customers sat on the floor in that little bit of a room at the rear, who were in their bike clothing, and it just didnt look at all right.

i would have at least found them something to sit on.

Is Matthew still with them ????? i was in there on Saturday for the 1st svs & his photo was missing from the dartboard (sorry staff notice board) just inside the door...

If I remember correctly the "stooge" is a young man with a passion for 1980's Citroen BX cars...

... he talks about it all the time!

He'll never make it as a Detective!!!

:blast

Would be good to know if he was ordered to say good things about his superiors or if he did it hoping for a promotion...

Anyway, not very discreet or bright!!!

:blagblah

I was a customer :) Now i am an employee !!

And yes the Citroen bx is a quality car !

young Adam, if your spouting cannons

subscribe....................

credibility comes not with what you ride, or who you ride for, but

how you ride and what you ride for, you need to learn this.

Coffee, Juice, etc free at Calterdon (Inverness) great service too.

PS - BX was a Pish car new and remains a PISH car used.

I've had no dealings with Cannons for a few years, but they weren't good then. Although the young lady on reception was rather alluring. :augie

(BX's - I had two - an entry-level BX14, then upgraded to a BX19GTi 4x4. The 14 was OK, the GTi surprisingly quick, and both very comfortable. Don't knock 'em.)

I'd heard about that even before I started posting. I wonder if it's commonplace?..

Now Im not one to jump on the Cannnon bandwagon. Much.

Anyway, Ive had a problem with the service dept which I wont bore anyone with, its personally my first problem with them so I think you have to give them the benefit of the doubt even tho it is my the first time Ive attempted to use them.

But what is a bit of a joke is why do they stick one of those 50p pressed tin tax disc holders on a new £13000 machine. Not only do the look completely crap and cheap but after the first sprinkling of rain the disc looks like its been through he wash and is totally illegible. Talk about penny pinching...
