'cannot unlock maps'

Feck me !!!! :D

That has quite literally taken all day!!! Two half hour phone calls to Garmin, two emails from them with different attachments ... what a nightmare!

Any hoo, it's eventually all done. I've had to put UK and Ireland on the device itself, and europe on the micro SD card.

There was a bit of something missing in the updates (they said) and I was also making the mistake, of not clicking UK and Irl to device and micro card when loading .. (or something like that, I've lost the will to be honest).

So .... next question please ... :blast ..

If I do a route on basecamp, and send it to device, should i be sending it to the sd card or to the 'internal memory' ?

So far I'm not too impressed, and it seems very slow (sometimes the buttons just freeze) maybe i should take some of Europ off it so it has less dadt to trawl through ??

Thanks for every bodies help and sympathy in the meantime .. :clap

Now to look at the Sena smh 10 stuff ... groan ...

And there I was thinking you were having an afternoon nap.:D

Re the Sena, keep us posted, as my Interphone is only good up to about 70-80mph, even then is fairly quiet.:blast

Youve spent enough money on pointless tatt and bling recently ... I've had a chat with your bank manager and he's agreed to freeze yer debit card ... :D

Good job my PayPal is funding everything, as I sold a load of tatt on here:aidan

ever since my 660 corrupted an important route before my very eyes while in italy, i've favoured importing them to the card.

that way, if it ever fucks up a route again, i can just reimport it to the device from the card, as i did on that occasion :)

i have the SMH10, its a good bit of kit, it will drive you barmy with the nav 1v because it keeps dropping the bluetooth and you have to go through the process all over again, make sure to keep deleting the old parings mine seems to have settled and been trouble free for a few weeks, it is audible into three figure speeds, but you will need a good set of monitors to get the best performance:D

well so far so good. I've installed it into her indoors's helmet and have had her walking round the house whilst i've been talking to her!!

We've got a flash player that i use for running - used the curly cable but it only fed through to one speaker in both sets ?? Not sure why that was (is the curly cable a mono cable only??)

I've had enough of bloody computers and wires tonight  On the Abelour now ... !

Facing about !

After a lot of FAFFING about, I finally got it to work. I followed the instructions from the Garmin link above, that solved the problem of the 'Can't Unlock Maps' message.
I then got a message saying 'Can't Authenticate Maps' ! Grrrrrrr !
I then connected my Zumo 660 back up to my laptop, downloaded Garmin Express and selected the option to 'Reinstall' ..... And tat worked ! No more error messages

YIPEEEEE :)
