Cant see Navigator II as a drive

Anyone any ideas? I have my Navigator II connected to my PC running Vista.

Using Mapsource I can import/export files but using My Computer the drives doesnt exist - isnt visible.

My reason for wanting PC access rather than Mapsource is to find the POI folder which I believe is stored on the device/storage card; so that I can add some POIs.

The USB connection is fine see above - I use it to connect via Mapsource. Interestingly if I use the file open option from Mapsource it cannot see the device either....Hmmmm

So how can I see the POI folder allegedly on the device/storage card? I have tried taking the storage card out of the device and into a reader - no POI folder. Just a Garmin folder with a 2G file called GMAPSUPP allegedley image files. Am I barking up a wrong tree altogther?

The Navigator II does not support POI's in the sense that you mean - the Navigator III does.

Beemerboy9, your knowledge of such arcane stuff is beyond mine and I bow to that greater wisdom. Soooo does that mean that I can only add POIs to a map or route by adding them as waypoints?

Thanks all...At least now I know the limitations of the device.

Looks like the Zumo is becoming more attractive ... although the cost... :-(
